Same, but Different

Did you know that my Organic Sourdough Sandwich Loaves and Organic Sourdough Artisan Boules contain the exact same 3 ingredients - 100% organic unbleached wheat flour, Crystal Springs purified water, and Redmond Real Salt. I use 2 very different recipes with similar preparation techniques including the overnight cold proof. I employ 2 very different baking methods which ends up producing 2 completely opposite style loaves. Both are have earned a worthy place at the table, but are used for different purposes. At least, that is what we do in our home.

* The Organic Sourdough Sandwich Loaf (large and small size) has a tighter crumb and a softer crust which is absolutely perfect for sandwiches, toast, garlic bread, French Toast, etc. This is by far my most popular seller. I have made well over a thousand of these loaves in the short time I have been selling them!

* The Organic Sourdough Artisan Boule (large and small) has a more open crumb and a thicker, crusty outer crust. Most customers who purchase this Artisan loaf love it served with a good quality butter alongside a hearty homemade soup or Italian dish.
